Did God Predestine Everything?

In this episode I clarify an important point of the Calvinism debate as it pertains to the issue of whether or not God predestined all things, or only some things.

[T]his Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.

Acts 2:23

[F]or truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy
servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.

Acts 4:27-28

  1. Doug Wilson – “Some thoughts require more than one sentence” ==== I don’t know how the rest of your fan following feels, but I’m ok with a few 2 hour podcasts haha!

Here is a topic I’d sort of like someone I trust to address: How should teachers in the public school handle the transgender movement? My brother and I talk about this on the phone. We are not allowed to live out what we actually believe, because it is hateful. Should a Christian acknowledge every student who changes their pronouns? (If we don’t, we surely could be fired)….I sense that many Christians, like myself, are simply “going with flow,” acknowledging these changes, and then feeling guilty afterwards. James White has decided to refuse to acknowledge different pronouns, because, as he says, doing so is direct rebellion against the Creator-creation distinction and God’s created order. Obviously, his job isn’t on the line, but maybe I should be willing to risk losing that for the kingdom? It kind of feels like a mini “Daniel” situation…

Anyway, I could really use some education on all of the elements of a Christian/Biblical response to the transgender movement (and even a “Biblical” definition on what makes someone a man and a woman — how about those extremely rare cases where people seem to be ‘hermaphrodite”

Keep it Collin – you are the man!
